Louis Webb’s Forest Hill garden has been popping with poppies for 15 years

When started: about 15 yrs since I hired a garden designer

Neighborhood: Forest Hill

Notable features: Poppies! They are most abundant this year with the coastal, foothill (all orange) and several white ones

Favorite plants: Columbine are also great this year as well

Wildlife seen: Bees, lots of bumble bees

Favorite thing: Seeing what comes up each spring

Biggest challenge: Gophers

Advice for beginners? Take a long view. Gardens take years to develop and become self sustaining.
